Oatmeal with Poached Red Grapes

Start your family’s morning off right with this homemade oatmeal recipe. Top with mixed nuts, chia seeds, toasted coconut – the possibilities are endless!


  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 3 cups milk
  • Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups red seedless grapes
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • Toppings of your choice


  1. Wash grapes, then place in a small sauce pan with the vinegar and sugar. Cover with lid and cook over gentle heat for 7-10 minutes.
  2. In a second pan, combine oats, milk and a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring from time to time so the mixture does not stick to the pan.
  3. Transfer oatmeal mixture to a large bowl and microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour oatmeal into bowls and top with a spoonful of poached grapes. Top with a dollop of greek yogurt and a sprinkling of nuts or your favorite topping.
