Green Grapes & Brie En Croute

This simple and savory appetizer recipe is perfect for a dinner party or holiday gathering. Don’t forget the baguette!

  • 1 - 8 oz. brie round or wedge
  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry dough
  • Approximately 6-8 green grapes (sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Honey for drizzling
  • 2 Tbsp. crushed pistachios
  • 1 crusty French baguette sliced thin (for serving)

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Thaw puff pastry in refrigerator.
  • Slice the green grapes into thin slices approximately 6-8 slices per grape depending on the size of the grape.
  • Top the brie with 2 layers of the sliced grapes (laying them flat, touching each other) covering the entire top. Sprinkle the grapes with the brown sugar.
  • Lay out the puff pastry on a lightly dusted cutting board. Roll out until big enough to completely cover brie and slightly overlap.
  • Drape the puff pastry over the brie. Pull the puff pastry all the way down the sides and under the brie. It is very important to press the puff pastry on the bottom together to form a seal.
  • Mix the egg with one tsp. of water and beat.
  • Brush the brie all over with the egg mixture (including the bottom to help seal it).
  • Bake the brie on a sheet pan covered with parchment for 18-20 minutes until browned.
  • Let cool for about 10-15 minutes. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle the pistachios on top. Serve with a crusty baguette.
